Happy National Novel Writing Month!
I’m a tad late, but if you’ve started this challenge today I am here to cheer you on!
I was on the fence last week but I’ve decided not to take part this year simply because of how busy I am with work and children. Committing to writing three pages a day of my own work is a big ask on top of everything else I have to juggle.
I’m not disappointed though, I’m looking forward to reading about all your efforts in your blogging posts!
Comment below if you’re taking part, let us know how you’re getting on one day in. How much planning did you do beforehand? Are you giving a WIP a boost or starting something completely new?

Yay for you. It’s great to just pound those keys and I wish you all the best.

Hey, Emma. I’ll be participating this year, although I fully understand you deciding to opt out, as it can get a little crazy hitting the daily goal you need to succeed. No biggie in the long run, as we still have WordPress where we can share our stories and build our friendship circles. Have a great day!

Exactly! I already hit that daily goal with my work plus some, finding time to hit that daily goal for my personal writing just isn’t feasible this year.
How have your first two days been?

Things are going okay. I’ve already hit that point where I can turn off my instinctive “editor” mode and just scribble away. For me, that’s the only way this project works. Stop worrying about getting it right the first run-through and just keep typing… 😉

Excellent stuff! Self-editing early on is a huge killer of creativity, it’s great that you can put it behind you and crack on!
