Welcome back to my weekly hosting of writing prompts!
Each week, I post a title and it’s completely up to you how you progress from there. Let creativity be your guide! You could write a poem, short story, flash fiction, or even a novel.
Share your work in the comments below with a link back to your blog so we can all share and grow as a community!
There’s no time limit, so do take your time and check back during the week to see what others have come up with.
This week your title is…
“The Deep Dark Hole”
Happy writing!

When im hole
(free verse)
how easily the devil, if it exists
impersonates god, or gods if such exist
to allow us to delude ourselves
about entitlement
to spread envy, fear and violence
tell us where a spade is
to dig our own deep dark hole

The deep dark hole was frightening
Yet still Sara had courage
She walked straight through the deep dark hole, finding a speck of light up ahead
She sang this little light of mine to keep herself focused
She kept walking and walking until finally reaching the end of the deep dark hole
And at the end the light revealed a brand new world for her to explore.
A world full of color and creativity
A world where her imagination could truly run wild
She smiled the biggest smile of her life
And ran forward
